From the original, ‘White Box’ edition of Dungeons & Dragons, Volume 1, Men & Magic. Written by the late Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson and published by TSR in 1974, this is just about as far back as you can go with the game from which all roleplaying games sprung.
This copy of Volume 1 has been (obviously) removed from the boxed set from which it originally came, and is being sold by itself. It shows some cover smudging and a little fading with age, as you would expect from a 35 year-old book that was not stored as a collectible, and the binding staples show noticeable rust. However, the spine is remarkably tight — as if the book has barely been read at all — and the pages show no unnatural marks or writing. Get a piece of gaming history that is still in surprisingly decent condition!
